PASSENGER AND BAGGAGE TRANSPORT RULES

1. VISPĀRĪGIE NOTEIKUMI


1.1. Commercial passenger transport on the VEDU platform is organized in cooperation with licensed carriers who perform transport services by passenger car in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
1.2. Rides on the platform are ordered by an adult, such as a parent or legal guardian of a child.
1.3. Transport services are provided by licensed carriers and drivers who meet the requirements set out in applicable laws and regulations.

2. Passenger Transport


2.1. The driver ensures safe transportation of passengers in compliance with road traffic regulations, applicable transport laws, and the duty of professional care.
2.2. During the ride, both the driver and passengers must comply with safety requirements, including the use of seat belts.
2.3. Children are transported using age- and weight-appropriate child safety equipment, based on the information provided by the person placing the order and in accordance with legal requirements.
2.4. During the ride, the passenger must follow the driver’s lawful instructions, safety requirements, and public order rules.
2.5. The passenger must not behave in a way that could endanger transport safety, damage the vehicle, or interfere with the provision of the service.

3. Baggage Transport


3.1. Passengers may carry personal baggage in an amount that can be safely accommodated in the vehicle’s luggage compartment or cabin.
3.2. Baggage must not:

  • endanger the safety of passengers or the driver;
  • obstruct the driver’s visibility or operation of the vehicle;
  • exceed the vehicle’s technical limitations.
    3.3. If baggage cannot be safely accommodated in the vehicle, the driver may refuse to perform the ride, indicating the relevant reason in the platform.
    3.4. The following items are not permitted for transport:
  • dangerous or explosive substances;
  • weapons or prohibited items;
  • flammable substances;
  • items that may pose a risk to transport safety or public order.
    3.5. The driver has the right to refuse transport if the baggage does not comply with these rules or poses a safety risk.

4. Transport for Persons with Reduced Mobility


4.1. Transport for persons with reduced mobility is organized in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
4.2. The platform provides the option to request at least one vehicle suitable for persons with reduced mobility.
4.3. Such a vehicle ensures at least the transport of a foldable wheelchair in the luggage compartment.
4.4. The driver assists the passenger, if necessary, with:

  • entering the vehicle;
  • exiting the vehicle;
  • transferring to a wheelchair;
  • handling baggage.

5. Final Provisions


5.1. Passenger and baggage transport on the platform is organized in accordance with the Road Transport Law, Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 541 (19.11.2019), and other applicable laws and regulations.
5.2. These passenger and baggage transport rules are attached to the application as a separate annex and are available on the platform’s website and mobile application.
5.3. The carrier is responsible for the actual execution of the transport service, the technical condition of the vehicle, and passenger safety during the transport.
