Deleting your vedu account
You can erase your account and personal data from inside the app at any time, or ask us to do it for you.
In the app
The fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.
- Parents: Account → Profile → Delete account.
- Drivers: Account → Profile → Delete account. Your completed carriages stay on file — see below.
You cannot delete your account while a ride is in progress. Finish or cancel it first.
If you no longer have the app
Write to hello@getvedu.app from the address on your account and we will erase it for you. We answer within 30 days, and normally within a few working days.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in
- your name, email and phone
- your children's profiles and their secret words
- saved places
- trusted contacts
- authorised pickup people
- favourite drivers
- your support conversations
- your saved payment cards, removed at our payment provider
What we have to keep, and why
Two things outlive the account, and neither is linked to you afterwards:
- A record of completed carriages. Latvian law (Cabinet Regulation No. 541, §4.1) requires a carrier to keep these for five years. Your account is unlinked from them when you delete it.
- Filings already sent to the State Revenue Service (VID). Once a carriage has been reported it cannot be withdrawn.
Nothing else is retained, and none of it is used to contact you or to build a profile.
